Post by John King » 02 Nov 2015 19:01

Welcome to the BMW Club Forum. The BMW Club is the only UK club officially recognised by BMW. We occupy a unique position in the motorcycling world and we are extremely proud to belong to this prestigious body.

We have here, a collection of very knowledgeable riders who will gladly assist if you have a problem. Have you ever considered joining the BMW club? You don't even need to own a BMW motorcycle or indeed any bike. The annual fee is £32 (a lot less than a pint of beer per month).

The advertisement for the club is over, so what can we offer:

The benefits of membership are, you will belong to a club with world wide connections, There are a number of advantageous deals available to club members. Including an agreed fee for servicing at main dealers and discounts with certain independent repairers, bike clothing suppliers, Insurance discounts of up to 10%. (The discount on my insurance more than pays for my membership.), Ferry discounts to Europe, organised track days, camping weekends, Rallies, hotel weekends, group ride-outs, small and large on most weekends and midweek, plus well organised foreign tours to Europe and further afield.

Also like most other motorcycle clubs have an, informative and well produced monthly journal in A4 format (12 editions per year.) with information of what is going on and what has happened during the previous month with even more information about your bikes and biking.

We, collectively, have what must be an, unparalleled knowledge of good advice, hints and tips to keep your BMW on the road, so saving on even more cost. There are specialist sections that deal with the most popular BMW motorcycle – the GS – all models. Sporting Section, Side-cars, and Vintage and Classic registers. Pop a question in the journal or the forum and someone somewhere will come up with an answer.

We also a hold an extensive collection of genuine specialist workshop tools (including up to date diagnostic equipment) for BMW motorcycles from the early airheads to the modern current models. These tools can be hired by full club members members. The hire cost is typically £5 plus postage.

The forum which has restricted access to non members, actually holds more information available to full Club members and finally, there is a well produced and informative monthly magazine.

The club also has Face Book and Twitter accounts for Club members.
